Small Changes, Big Impact: Practical Approaches to Enhance Student Engagement

This program aims to help faculty create more engaging, student-centered learning experiences that promote motivation, deeper learning, and student success. Grounded in the principle that active participation is essential to meaningful learning, participants will explore evidence-based strategies for increasing student engagement and apply practical techniques to their own teaching. By fostering greater student involvement, faculty can enhance participation, improve knowledge retention, support critical thinking, and strengthen overall learning outcomes.

  1. Increase student engagement and motivation by exposing faculty to active, student-centered learning strategies that promote participation and motivation.
  2. Support faculty with practical, evidence-based strategies that can be directly applied to improve teaching effectiveness.
  3. Assist faculty in aligning teaching practices with research on student engagement to strengthen instructional quality in higher education.
